Aberration optique, Steven Pippin

“The British artist Mr. Pippin (born 1960) has constantly played with the camera, transforming bathtubs, toilets or washbasins into camera obscura, constructing onanistic cameras, or arranging the image taken by a camera at the moment when a bullet from a pistol bursts it into pieces. Beyond the incongruous and humorous aspect, he conducts research on the limits of photography and the aberrations obtained when these limits are crossed. This book is the catalogue of his exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in 2017.” says Marc Lenot.
