Conversion, Pascal Convert
(Part of Catherine Millet’s theme: (Auto)biography)

Sometimes brothers grow up together in the shade of the immense pines of the Landes forest. Sometimes they share a childhood and its lot of immense fears, and deep joys, of dull worries and bright celebrations. Sometimes the brothers understand together one day, that nothing will ever be the same again... that the life they have been given requires a conversion.
What remains for them afterwards, long afterwards, for those who were children of the moors and the ocean, for those who have changed without wanting to deny themselves, for those who have traced their course between shadows and light, what remains for them is that they had a father and a mother. Pascal Convert is an artist. He was a son. He is a father.
