This is probably the least accurate map of Texas in the world! French photographer Rémi Noël, who has been obsessed with the America of Jack Kerouac, Edward Hopper and Robert Frank since his teenage years, has found the ideal setting for his work here. Wide open spaces, endless roads, 60s motels in their juice, the Lone Star State still abounds with pieces of the eternal America that so inspires him. From Houston to Marfa via Dallas, he has realized the 34 images gathered here during four stays between 2004 and 2012. Rémi Noël is an unwilling defender of "old-fashioned" photography. He works with film and none of these images have been digitally modified. Don't mess with Texas...
