Bleu de Colza, Hideyuki Ishibashi x Maison Tempsens
In the chill of early spring, I walked the dark slopes to gather Bugloss — its scent still earthy and raw, carried by cold air and the breath of coal. Goats were grazing there, their musky warmth drifting through the hill, part of a gentle way to keep its wild plants alive. Weeks later, on a bright June day, I stood back in a field of colza to photograph, the air heavy with its sweet, oily perfume, the terril rising dark against the yellow bloom and the sun. Between closeness and distance, cold earth and radiant field, the landscape revealed itself in layers of scent and time.
